Q. Are reservations required for a group discount?

A. If you are going on a guided tour, you do need a reservation.
A. If you are going on a self-guided tour, you do not need to make a reservation. Although we do recommend making a reservation to ensure the best possible experience.

Q. How many people do you need in order to get a group discount?

A. For Organized Group Tours: 13 or more guests (i.e., schools, daycares, and senior centers).
A. For Informal Group Tours: 20 or more guests (i.e., family reunions, birthday parties, and weddings).

Q. When are guided tours available?

A. We can schedule guided tours most days of the open season based on availability.

Q. How many people can go on a guided tour at one time?

A. We can accommodate 3 groups of 25-30 guests.

Q. How long does a guided tour take?

A. They typically take 60–75 minutes.

Q. What ages are guided tours designed for?

A. Tours are designed for all ages to enjoy! We can also adjust the tour details based on the age or the interest of the group.

Q. Does everyone have to pay to get into the zoo?

A. Yes, all guests are counted for a total head count to ensure you receive the discounted admission rate.
A. For School Groups: We do allow (1) teacher and (1) paraprofessional to enter for free with school groups for each classroom.

Q. Can I use my membership card if I am coming with a group?

A. Yes, the membership card must be present. We also must be notified 2 weeks prior to your scheduled tour. Memberships will ONLY apply to admission rates.

Q. Can we bring outside food, box lunches, or coolers into the zoo?

A. We do not allow outside food in the zoo. We can store your food/lunches in our admission building for you. We also have a variety of box lunches, snacks, treats, and beverages to take care of those hunger pains and quench your thirst. (For large groups, please call ahead to order your box lunches.)
