Pine Grove Zoo is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming experience for all guests. Our pathways are designed to accommodate strollers and wheelchairs and we have accessible parking near the Zoo entrance. Restrooms and seating areas are conveniently located throughout the zoo to ensure comfort during your visit. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions prior to your visit, our team is happy to assist. Pine Grove Zoo is a smoke-free facility.
There are 20 regular, 1 handicapped, and 4 bus/RV parking spaces available in the main lot near the admissions building. There are 10 additional spaces available in the overflow lot and 25 regular and 1 handicapped parking space available near Pine Grove Park.
All public buildings and paths are wheelchair accessible. Standard non-electric wheelchairs and walkers are available on a first come basis.
We welcome trained service animals and service animals in training into the zoo. Service animals must be properly identified, vaccinated, and leashed. Pets are not allowed.
Accessible restrooms are located next to the bear habitat across from the petting stables in the zoo as well as in Pine Grove Park located next to the zoo. A diaper changing area is located inside the zoo bathrooms.
Notify any zoo staff member or volunteer and a certified first aid, CPR, AED staff member will come and assist you.
Outside food is not allowed in the zoo, but lunches can be stored in the admission building. Snacks, treats, Dippin’ Dots, and beverages are available, and box lunches are offered from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Large groups should call ahead to order box lunches.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and animals alike, we ask all visitors to follow our zoo guidelines. Please respect habitat barriers, remain on designated pathways, and supervise children at all times. Outside pets are not permitted for the safety of our animals.
For our animals peace and happiness please refrain from shouting or whistling at the animals, do not throw any objects at the animals, and please do not tease, harass, or taunt the animals.
Pets, apart from service animals, are not allowed on Zoo grounds for the safety of our animals.
While our animals are out on habitat every day (depending on weather), during the cooler parts of the day is when most species are more active. Morning visits and early evenings offer the best opportunities to observe their natural behaviors. Checking the daily schedule can also help you catch special presentations and up-close animal experiences.
Yes! All zoo habitats are accessible to strollers and wheelchairs, and all our pathways are paved.
Yes! When you enter the zoo, you will receive a hand stamp. Your admission is valid for the entire day!
Pine Grove Zoo is a non-smoking facility. Smoking and chewing, including electronic cigarettes and vapes, are NOT allowed on Zoo grounds.
Yes! We have tickets available for purchase at the door as well as online.
Outside food is not permitted inside Zoo grounds.
Yes, of course! You are welcome to take photos and videos at the Zoo. Commercial photography is permitted only with prior permission from the Zoo Director.
Pine Grove Zoo is open rain or shine. If there is severe inclement weather (such as tornado warnings), Pine Grove Zoo will close their doors for the safety of the animals, staff, and visitors.
Yes, if you have lost anything please contact the Zoo’s main office at 320-616-5595. If you find any items while in the Zoo, please leave them with a staff member in the admission building.
