Q. Is there food available at the zoo? Can I bring my own?
A. We do have box lunches available in our admissions/gift shop area as well as snacks, pop, water as well as Dippin Dots.
Q. Can I bring my pet to the zoo?
A. Pets, except service animals, are not allowed on zoo grounds.
Q. What is your smoking policy?
A. The Pine Grove Zoo is a non-smoking facility. Smoking and chewing, including electronic cigarettes, are NOT allowed.
Q. When are the best times to see the animals?
A. It depends on the animals. Some of our more exotic animals may not be on exhibit due to cold or inclement weather. Larger animals are generally on exhibit during the open hours and tend to be more active when it is cooler temperatures, and are typically most active during the morning and later afternoon hours. Animals may be taken off exhibit without notice.
Q. Can I get in-and-out privileges at the zoo?
A. Yes. When paying your admission, you receive a hand stamp. Your admission is valid for that day only. Zoo members may visit the zoo as often as they like, while their membership is current.
Q. Are bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, and toys allowed in the zoo?
A. Bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, and toys are NOT permitted into the Zoo. There is a bike rack available to park a bike near the admissions building.
Q. Can I take pictures at the zoo?
A. You are most welcome to take photos and video at the zoo. Flash photography is ok. For the protection of our animals, selfie sticks are NOT allowed. Commercial photography is permitted only with prior permission from the zoo director.
Q. Is there a lost and found?
A. If you have lost anything, please contact the zoo’s main office at 320-616-5595. Any items you may find while in the zoo, please leave with a staff member in the admissions building.
